  • ¼ cup oil for cooking tomatoes
  • ½ kg tomatoes
  • 1 cup oil for cooking the chicken
  • 1 kg chicken
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic (crushed into paste form)
  • 1 tbsp karhai masala
  • 2 tbsp crushed red chili or to taste
  • 1 tbsp crushed coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (roasted and crushed)
  • salt to taste
  • ½ cup yogurt (adha cup dahi)
  • black pepper to taste
  • green chilies as required
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • sliced ginger
