Chana Daal Pulao Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 5 - 6 black pepper corns
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 - 3 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3/4 cup Split Bengal Gram (washed and soaked)
  • 1 glass of water
  • 3 cup water for rice
  • 2 cup Basmati rice (washed and soaked)
  • 4 - 5 green chilies
