Take 1½ cup basmati rice wash and soak for 6-8 hours in a bowl.
In a separate bowl take ½ cup lentil (ماش کی دال) and ½ tsp fenugreek seeds (میتھی دانا), wash and soak for 6-8 hours.
Remove water from both bowls. Blend rice and lentil separately in a blender until smooth. Add little water while blending.
Pour the blended rice and lentil into a mixing bowl one after the other.
Stir to mix them for 2-3 minutes and ferment the mixture for 8-10 hours.
Add salt to taste and water as required.
Grease the griddle pan with ½ tsp oil. You can use cotton or any other absorbent material to spread the pan across the pan.
Pour the batter and spread it over the surface of the griddle using the back of the cooking spoon.
Pour some oil and cover the griddle pan with lid and cook on high to medium flame until you observe change in color.
Dosa is ready to be served.
