This dish is an excellent side dish as well as an appetizer. It can easily replace the classic Manchurian or its cauliflower counterpart as well. Aloo Manchurian and fried rice are great dishes to have together.
Potato Manchurian and Veg Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
Potato Balls
- 2 large boiled potatoes
- salt to taste
- ½ tsp crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp crushed red chili or quantity to taste
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tbsp corn flour mixed in water
- 3 – 4 tbsp oil for frying
FOR MANCHURIAN GRAVY
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 3 tbsp tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp crushed black pepper or to taste
- ¼ tsp crushed red chili or to taste
- ½ cup water or as required
- 1 tsp corn flour mixed in water
- spring onion green part
Veg Rice
- 2 – 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1 capsicum
- 1 carrot
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 500 grams basmati rice
- a handful of spring onion green part
