King Fish Pulao

For frying the fish

  • ½ kg King Mackerel Fish (Surmai Machli)
  • tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp turmeric
  • oil for frying the fish

Ingredients of gravy for cooking the rice

  • 700 grams Basmati Rice
  • 2 onion medium sized
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp whole spice mix (sabit garam masala)
  • 5-6 green chilies
  • 1 tsp black cumin seeds
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • salt to taste
  • bowl water

Ingredients tied up in muslin cloth

  • 3-4 green cardamom (elaichi)
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • ginger (adrak) about 1 inch piece
  • 4-5 cloves garlic (lahsan javay)
  • 6-7 black pepper corns (sabit kali mirch)
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
