Prepare by arranging the required ingredients for the recipe.
Peel off the potato and slice the potatoes lengthwise to your desired thickness. Stack the slices together on the cutting board or a flat surface and cut lengthwise to make thin sticks.
Clean the slices with water and take them to a large mixing bowl. Add the seasonings of salt to taste, crushed red chili, crushed coriander, and cumin seeds.
Add green chilies nicely crushed and finely cut fresh coriander leaves. Use a spoon or other small kitchen tool to combine the added ingredients.
Now add the gram flour as per recommended quantity or you may increase the quantity as required.
Add a pinch of baking soda and one of orange food color. Add water and mix gradually to prepare a thick mixture ready to fry.
Deep fry on low to medium flame in a cooking wok until golden brown and crispy as desired.
Serve with your favorite sauce.
