  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 onion large sized
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic crushed
  • 1 small piece of cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 to 5 black pepper corns
  • 2 tomatoes large sized
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • cup split Bengal gram soaked
  • 250 grams spinach (palak) boiled
  • cup water or as required
  • 4 to 5 green chilies
  • 1 to 2 tbsp fresh coriander
  • fresh lemon juice to taste
