Street Style Samosa and Chatni

Samosa and Chutney Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 2 potatoes boiled
  • 3 - 4 tbsp tamarind juice to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds crushed (koota hua zeera)
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1 pinch citric acid
  • 1 - 2 green chilies
  • 2 pinches orange food color
  • water as required
  • 1 tsp red chili crushed or to taste

Instructions
 

Aloo Chutney

  • Boil potatoes, let them cool down and cut into cubes. Add all of the chutney ingredients to a blender and add some water. Blend to combine well into thick liquid form. Take out in a bowl and add more water as required.
  • Add crushed red chili as per recommended quantity or change it to taste.
  • Prepare a cohesive paste from flour and water to tie up the edges of samosa sheets.
  • Fold the samosa sheets in a conical triangular shape. Add your favorite filling or leave them empty inside.
  • Add oil to a frying pan and deep fry the samosa.
  • When ready, serve them with your favorite potato chutney.
  • Traditionally, street vendors use old newspapers as napkins to serve food to their customers. However, the use of newspapers for this purpose is strictly prohibited as food may be contaminated with ink which may be toxic and hazardous to health.
