Spicy Chana Biryani
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup oil or as required
- 3 medium sized onions
- whole spice mix
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic crushed into paste form
- 3-4 tomatoes
- salt to taste
- 1½ tsp red chili powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric (haldi powder)
- 1½ tbsp homemade biryani masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder (dhaniya powder)
- 2 cup chickpeas (boiled)
- 4-5 green chilies
- 700 grams basmati rice
- orange food color mixed in yogurt
- mint leaves
